“It’s not a cult if as an adult you are free to choose out of it at any time; and if feels like you can’t or choose to stay in spite of their abuse, you are still stuck in the only real cult there is: the cult of how family conditioning wounded you in such a way that it caused you to be drawn to authoritative group leaders who won’t or don’t care about their impact on you, because like your parents, they also need you to care more about your impact on them by loving or adoring them.”
